What is Sea Scouting?

Since 1912, Sea Scouts has been a part of the Boy Scouts of America.  Sea Scout units called "Ships" still focus on the tenets that make Scouting great, such as: promoting better citizenship, social and service experiences, and outdoor skills.  However, Sea Scouting puts more focus on water-based activities like:

  • Water Safety

  • Boating Skills

  • Paddlecraft (Stand-up paddleboarding, canoeing, kayaking, etc.)

  • Scuba

  • Sailing

  • High Adventure Aquatic Activities
